Covid 19
Dear swimmers and parents
As we are all painfully aware, the situation regarding the operating
guidelines due to the Covid 19 virus continue to change. The latest
guidelines from the Ministry of Health (20/3/20) are as follows:
Criteria for cancelling events
To slow the spread of COVID-19, gatherings of 500 people or more in
close proximity outdoors, or 100 people or more indoors, will be
cancelled. These measures will be regularly reviewed.
This applies to both public events such as concerts and private events
such as weddings. Gatherings of any size need to assess the risk they
pose to attendees and the community. See the ‘further guidance’ section
for more information.
Work, school, and public transport are considered essential gatherings
and do not need to be cancelled/closed.
It is not possible to provide a definitive list of what should be
cancelled.
Physical distancing
Physical distancing means remaining 1 metre away from other people, or
if you are closer than 1 metre, being there for less than 15 minutes.
Physical distancing is important to help protect you and others from
COVID-19, which spreads via droplets from coughing and sneezing. Staying
1 metre away from others is an effective measure.
BUMBLE BEES CLOSURE:
In light of these updates we have made the difficult decision to close
Bumble Bees at 3.30pm today (Friday 20th March) until further notice.
We feel that it is not possible to meet the physical distancing
requirements in that environment and the safety of staff and clients is
of the utmost importance to us. This decision has not been made lightly
and it is of much distress to us that we are having to do this.
All Term 2 bookings will remain in place for when we are able to reopen.
Please refrain from payment of these lessons until further notice.
